[Hello]
So as I have been biking/recording more and more over the past month. I've come to realize that simply putting up the [raw] data for public viewing is not only reckless, it is boring. At the same time, I do not want to overly edit my trips. I am not really interested to much in voice-overs and playing music in it. Still, the ambient noise from the wind is fucken annoying. As is the "dead air" of Metro Rail travel.
My current plan is to set the current uploads as [unlisted] as well as any future [raw] video[s], to ensure their capture but keep them as [unlisted], until I've edited out sections that don't need to be there. These will clearly be marked as "[alt]" (as in altered).
[I also think that i may need to use software to blur out faces of people & license plates along the way to ensure a semblance of privacy to those who are not partaking in my excursions. Understand though, that I do this out of a measure of respect, not out of ignorance of the laws regarding public recordings or expectations in such matters.]

Hiccup [Boom],... cha cha cha...
It's old slang. I thought it was from a movie or show or skit from my parent's time.
It goes sorta like this:
Person 1 - gets the hiccups and can't stop.
Person 2 - tries to help Person 1, but farts (the boom).
Person 3 - starts to laugh, but realizes that they have to pee/poo/etc., and starts to do the potty dance (the cha cha cha).
[and then it goes in to repeat as people join in, start dancing and sing "Hiccup, boom! -cha, cha, cha... Hiccup, boom! -cha, cha, cha... "]
It's not brilliant or anything that took long to think of, but it is childish fun. Which is why i named my YouTube Channel [ https://www.youtube.com/@Hiccupboom ], and this blog, as such. (Or well, just 'Hiccup [Boom],...'). It's just a channel to track my excursions on my pedal assist eBike, as i get back in to the realm of normal exercise. Since my surgery [c.2024-April] i haven't been doing as much as i used to. So last year i purchased an eBike, but haven't really taken it out until the past week [2026-02-26].
Currently i am mostly biking in the Azusa area, extending in to the Irwindale (Santa Fe Dam), Duarte (City of Hope National Medical Center, & Glendora (Vons) areas. This is as to get me back in to my comfort area in regards to balance, traffic, & strain. To this end, i need to make sure that am ready before i venture out into more dense and places further away.
Along the San Gabriel River Bike Trail, i've been exploring. So far the most interesting things have been a rabbit, old cobblestone river channel, the Puente Largo Bridge, AND "Jupiter Point." The remnants of a to-scale solar model. It's only drawings on a ground, but they are measured in relation to where the planets would be if they were on Earth. Starting with the trail's end along San Gabriel Canyon Rd; Which marks the Sun. And all the other markings are planets.
I am trying to find out more information on this project, as i heard about it in the past, but can't seem to locate the data on it. I just recall news articles that students (and people in general) had discussed doing this after a separate discussion on the poor understanding of the solar system due to crap models. So people decided to do projects like doing a scale model out in White Sands, or on a beach, or etc. etc. Some of those are documented and on You Tube, but we'll see what i can find.
So that's that. This blog will help add context for the videos i post on You Tube.
